“ We had a fantastic brunch at 8 Villa Beach House, located in the same area as Tatoy’s but with a much more relaxing ambiance—right on the beach with our toes in the sand. We ordered the grilled oysters, which were incredibly tasty and more balanced than the cheesier versions elsewhere. The grilled diwal was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and very seasonal. The owner, Ian, shared that diwal are extremely sensitive to pollution and can disappear for years, so we felt very lucky they were in season during our visit. We also enjoyed the sinuglaw and sinabawang managat—the fish was so fresh and fatty, absolutely perfect. To end the meal, we had their Brazo de Mercedes, which was incredibly delicious. Ian mentioned it’s made using a family recipe passed down from his great-grandmother, a sweet touch to an already memorable meal. Ian was so warm and welcoming, even taking the time to chat and share stories about the food and the area. If you're in Iloilo, this is a truly special find. ”
“ The moment our plane touched down, we headed straight to 8 Villa Beach House, a charming beachfront restaurant in Iloilo. We were warmly welcomed by Sir Ian, the gracious owner, and his adorable fur baby, Kylo. The beach itself was stunning, peaceful, clean, with a refreshing sea breeze. The ambiance was simple yet serene, the perfect place to unwind and let go of stress. The food was a delightful surprise… unique, healthy, and perfectly seasoned. The grilled mushroom, in particular, was an unexpected highlight, boasting a smoky, meat-like flavor reminiscent of chicharon bulaklak or grilled chicken skin. The kinilaw na shrimp was succulent and sweet, incredibly fresh, and paired beautifully with the flavorful aligue rice. The rice had a rich yet balanced aligue taste, perfectly complemented by the bold flavors of the bagoong and scrambled eggs. The baked oysters were briny and fresh, with a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with the gooey melted cheese and the light char from the grill which was my absolute favorite. I can’t wait to return, relax by the beach, and explore more of their menu. ”

“ Honestly one of my best food experiences here in Iloilo. It’s a hidden gem. The bangus was the star here, but the crab fat rice and the scallops on a stick were close front runners. That being said, everything we ordered was tasty, even the fruit shake. It’s facing the beach, which was also very beautiful, and you can walk out there for a nice view of Guimaras. 10/10 will be back soon. ”
